Medical Image Quantification

At Mirada we say that we "make every image count". By this we mean, we try to provide meaningful numbers where possible to assist the reader in deriving and communicating a measurable and comparable assessment of the characteristics of the image.

Simple SUV: min, max, average, peak, 3D region, 2D region

Total Lesion Glycolysis: can be interpreted as an indication of the total metabolic activity of a lesion

RECIST: XD3 supports the measurement and reporting of RECIST

PERCIST: the most recent development in the use of PET in response assessment and is expected to develop into a PET equivalent of the widely used RECIST standard. PERCIST is based upon the SUV peak, the maximum metabolic activity inside a 1cm³ sub-volume of the region of interest. In addition, PERCIST requires the consistency of the mean activity in a reference region, usually taken from the liver or blood pool.

Software assisted ROI: one click SUV based iso-contouring based on seed point, set threshold, or as percentage of the maximum value within a larger region

Registration based ROI tracking: software assisted tracking of ROIs over time, powered by Mirada's deformable registration. This allows change to be quickly and reliably measured and reported

Automatic reporting of quantification parameters: all of the above may be automatically written to a detailed quantification report. This report is fully configurable, so you only report the parameters you need
